The Price

It is almost half the cost of any significant competitor. Additionally, it features access to a lot of the major names in streaming media. Furthermore, an addition main selling point is the Roku Search features. It is nothing short of amazing, you can browse across a wide variety of diverse streaming media providers with just a click. This feature makes it extremely easy to access the shows or films you’re searching for.

Usability

The user screen or interface is great. It’s definitely equal to high end technology such as the XBOX 360. The main screen or (home screen) is also wonderfully developed with a nice lay out. It is easy but yet elegant. It comes with some of the most significant channels pre- installed such as Netflix and Hulu. This creates simplicity to merely plug and play. The Roku Channel Store provides the capability to download additional channels and applications from picture software such as Picasa to live sports.

Design

Matching the design of other Roku devices, the Roku LT is a lightweight, purple rectangular streaming media guru. With internal Wi-Fi potential, it helps make the Roku LT a particularly neat looking electronic system.
At the back of the system are the connection ports for your Television. The Roku LT makes it possible for you to use both a HDMI output and an AV output. This forms a simple way to access a newer or older model television. There are SD ports and other features on upgraded models.

The Remote

Additionally, the remote designed for Roku LT is really simple to handle. It’s not overwhelmed with a lot of ineffective buttons that’s never used. This is a good strong quality when trying to navigate through the menus and user interface. Additionally the remote is amazing when playing the games on the Roku. You just flip it over on the side and play away; the buttons never stick much like they would on a traditional gaming remote.

Setup

With this unit, setup is a breeze. If you choose to go with a wired connection, it is as simple as plug and play. The router comes with a cat5 cable to connect straight to your PC. If you choose wireless, there are very detailed, simple instructions that leave very little room for error. I have a wired connection to my main PC, however, I use the wireless feature daily and notice no difference in speed.

Signal Strength

I have had this unit for just over three months and have never had a signal strength issue. I have an LG smart TV with a wired connection, an Android tablet, Dell laptop, three Android smartphones, a wired Panasonic Blu-Ray, a wired Sony PS3, and a Nintendo Wii. I have never had an issue connecting to any of these devices. I live in a two story home, with the router downstairs, and have not had issues with signal strength upstairs at all. Also, I have had many, if not all, of these devices connected to the internet simultaneously. Since I have 18 Mbps, there is some lag, but only because the bandwidth is not there; the router will support up to 150 Mbps.

Good Hands

I have owned many wireless routers and most have dropped the connection a few times. In three months, it has never dropped the connection. Never. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe this is a great router.

Pretty

I bought this router online, and the first thing that attracted me to it was the look (alright, it was the price. But next was the look.). I liked the blue lights, which turned out to be better than I expected; they are non-obtrusive and stylish. I also like how it lays flat allowing me to put it on a short shelf.

Value

It’s no secret this router impressed me. Perhaps the biggest reason is the price. You would expect a hundred-dollar router to perform as this one does. That being said you can buy this one for less than half that price. With easy setup, outstanding performance  a sleek design, and very low price point, the is an astonishing value.
